Sandra L. Power

A confident, experienced trial attorney and skilled negotiator, Steve Power will make you feel that you have made the right decision from the moment you start speaking with him at your free consultation.  You will find him extremely direct and honest about all aspects of your case, and he will take all the time needed to ensure that you fully understand the pros and cons of the many options for resolving your family law case.  If you are nervous about making that first call, you can be certain that this is the lawyer to contact first.

His impressive 23 years of legal experience includes eight years as a litigation paralegal as he worked his way through college and law school, seven years as a Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in Hawaii, where he spent the vast majority of his time handling criminal trials, two years as an Assistant City Attorney for the City of Atlanta defending city officials in civil rights lawsuits, two years as a Deputy Attorney General for the State of Georgia defending state officials in civil rights lawsuits, followed by five years as a Senior Associate Attorney at highly successful Gwinnett County Law Firm handling predominately domestic cases.  It was while working at this law firm that he recognized the need for affordable, experienced attorneys in the family law field.

Mr. Power has dedicated his practice exclusively to helping families deal with the important legal and emotional issues that all too often put their children in the middle.  If you want to turn your problems over to a knowledgeable and well-seasoned professional that will keep you calm and move your case forward with a steady hand to the best possible conclusion, this is your attorney.

Have you ever met a person and felt like you have met them somewhere before?  Do certain people make you feel instantly at ease?  Upon meeting her you will immediately benefit from Sandra’s unique insight which stems from both her legal experience and life experience.  Sandra L. Power was born in Michigan and moved to Georgia in 1983, and as a result relates to both northern and southern clients extremely well, and considers herself a “Northern Peach”.

Sandra graduated from The American Institute for Paralegal Studies, Inc. in 1991 and has been employed by Georgia law firms for 26 years.  Sandra was offered three internships, nominated for the Certificate of Distinction and featured in the Atlanta Journal Constitution, even prior to graduation. Since that time, she has been employed by small, mid and large firms as the lead paralegal, using her knowledge and experience to become the “right arm” to many of Georgia’s prominent attorneys, as well as a mentor, teacher and trainer for many paralegals.  You will greatly benefit from getting a "big city" paralegal at this small law firm. Although Sandra has experience in virtually every area of law, her preference has always been to work in the Family Law field so that she can connect directly with the clients on a personal level while helping them through what is often one of the most difficult time in their lives. Sandra has established wonderful professional relationships with other law firms and court personnel from spending years in the business, and is also a Georgia Notary Public. She is an extremely focused and detail oriented person and takes pride in assisting the attorney to prepare your case in the best possible way to get the most positive results possible.

"When parents split, they don’t stop being a family in their children’s eyes.  Little good can come from being ruthless with your children's other parent, especially when doing so is not only likely to increase your legal expenses, but will often make your children's lives miserable. I will help you navigate your transition employing time-proven strategies that will end your case quickly and fairly while achieveing a functional relationship with your children's other parent.  This result is not only important for your family’s sake, but will also be essentail for maintaining your own peace of mind.”
“Sometimes the first experience a client has with a law firm takes place during an emotionally troubling and/or frightening time.  It can be very intimidating to simply make that first call for help. When you walk through our door, we'll do our best to not only make you feel at ease, but also realize that you are no longer alone and are in capable hands. We want you to be able to sleep at night knowing that everything than can be done for you is being taken care of.”
